Moving around Nairobi

Hey people,I am sorry it has been a bit crazy with work and writing my script, but hey I am back and today i want to help you move around Nairobi easily.Matatus (mini vans) , Buses ,Taxis and Car hires. These are all transport modes at your disposal If you are taking a taxi from the airport to the city centre,it should not cost you more than ksh1500 ($18) and this is on the higher side.Try and get reputable taxi services companies they usually have a fixed charge for destinations around Nairobi so the chances of you being ripped off are minimal,i possible get a local to negotiate the rate for you(Kenyans are very friendly.)
The cheapest and most flexible mode of transport are matatus and buses, they are located allover Nairobi and cover the entire city,Just ask a local to tell you what number of bus or matatu you should take, this is also a great way of meeting people and diving into the kenyan culture.Always remind the conductor where you want to alight especially in the evenings they end up taking different routes to avoid traffic.
I hope i have been of some help,if you have any questions i will be glad to answer, next i will be covering where to get the good coffee.
Happy reading folks

fast food in nairobi

There many  places in nairobi you can get fast food.the most popular and probably the cheapest fast food franchise restaurants are called KENCHIC.
They are self service hence speedy.
The menu comprises of chips, masala chips, chicken, burgers(mostly beef and chicken),sausages, samosas, kebabs, fried fish (english style),hot dogs, boiled eggs e.t.c.
For only Ksh250 ( $4) you will enjoy a meal e.g (chips, chicken and soda),(chips a burger and soda) e.t.c
INNSCOR
Innscor is a franchise that consists of pizza inn, galitos inn, chicken inn and creamy inn. They are mostly located at gas stations in Nairobi apart from the ones in the city center all under one roof kinda like a food court setting.
Pizza inn like the name suggests serves pizza they have a range of both vegetarian pizza and non-vegie pizzas the family pizza costs from ksh750-900 ($9-11).Galitos inn my personal favorite serves flame grilled chicken with chili fries, steak rolls and a range of meals that are not necessarily junk food.
Chicken inn are famous for their bread crumb deep fried chicken and juicy fries a meal box costs about ksh 500 ($6).
After a hearty meal enjoy ice cream, fresh juices,sundaes,floats...e.t.c at creamy inn. These treats are fairly affordable.
STEERS AND DEBONAIRS
Also a franchise,You have to love the debonaire pizza i will not sell the place but i dare you to try it yourself, you will not regret it.both the vegie and non-vegie pizzas are just to die for.
The burgers at steers remind me each day why i only survived a day as a vegan. Finally their chicken salad is a must try.
All these places do deliveries apart from KENCHIC and there is always one near you.

Anyway i really hope this has been a bit helpful please ask me any questions i will be glad to help.
